Think the only thing that really popped up on my price tracker is Ninja Gaiden 2 for $15, but that's a normal sale price for it and I'm not gonna pretend I'm looking for many games on Xbox anymore.

@Banjo- The real sales from Nintendo AAA games are always from places like Best Buy or Walmart. Got TOTK for $30 the year after launch which was a steal even by non-Nintendo standards.

Hardly any of the games in my wishlist are even on sale. I've waited all year for this 🥲

My microsoft points pile was a little lower this holiday season, but I at least cashed in for Dragon Quest III HD2D. Nothing really else screams 'must have' at the moment.

@Bears-Wear-Hats yeah like that is going to work. I requested a refund for wreckreation on the grounds that it was a completely unplayable, buggy mess - the first time I’d ever requested a refund and they refused it on the grounds that I’d played it.

So they’re never going to allow this.

@norwichred I'm in Australia, so I can't promise it works anywhere else, but it totally works here. Within 14 days, you can get a refund, basically automatically. It asks for a reason but really you can put anything. Google 'Microsoft request refund', then you get a link to Xbox Support called 'Request a refund for Digital Games'. On that page, you sign in and then it shows a list of your recent purchases and which ones you can still get refunded. Anything over 14 days is conditional. The URL is https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders. If you're UK, trying swapping AU for UK. Best of luck.

Had some redeemed reward points to credit that expire next month. Picked up Halo Master Chief Collection, Ni No Kuni, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and The Disney Aternoon Collection and had 8 cents leftover. I'm good until Dragon Quest VII Reimagined comes out now.

I bought halo 5 might get into the multiplayer always heard good things, but never got around to playing it. So hopefully it's still active. Plus I wanted to complete my halo collection lol

@swedetrap Alan Wake 2 is on my wish list, but I don't think I am buying any more content on Xbox. Every game that I would want is always cheaper on PC & seeing that Microsoft is going that way anyhow, I don't want to have content locked to a platform that is going away.

Dropped GamePass because of the price hike BS, so I went ahead and bought Crackdown 3 and Psychonauts 2. Want to snag Master Chief Collection, as well, but apparently it's not Play Anywhere and I'm starting to migrate over to PC in anticipation of not buying a next gen console, so I'm holding out hope somebody has MCC on sale for PC soon.

Nothing else of interest for me in this sale, though. Waiting for better prices on TESIV and Split Fiction still.

Not much of a multiplayer guy anymore, but I will say Halo 5 had the best multiplayer in the series since Halo 2. The campaign was nothing to write home about, but the multiplayer was worth it. Even despite the loot pack system (which I never had to spend actually money on some in game credits were plentiful), Warzone was fantastic and sorely missed in Infinite. The gameplay changes felt good and really worked with the Halo formula without changing up the classic style too much.

@GoldenPants Xbox is not disappearing, but becoming the biggest video game ecosystem: Xbox + PC stores.

There's a handful I am looking at - Goat Simulator 3 for my daughter and I to play, as well as a few I've wanted to play but just haven't yet like Persona 5 Royal and Dying Light

@Banjo- Your reading of the tea leaves is quite a bit different than my reading, it already looks to me like Microsoft has given up on this generation of consoles, next gen whatever it is will be even worse:
-You would be insane to buy an xbox console now. At least here in Canada I don't see Microsoft even trying anymore. Major retailers don't even sell xbox anymore & I gather that is the same in US & Europe. Plus Xbox is too expensive and there are no sales to speak of. You can now get a PS5 digital edition for the SAME price as a Series S & of course PS5 is way more machine than a Series S. Series X is going to cost like CAD$200/40% more than PS5. So you would be insane to buy either Series X|S consoles over a PS5
-PS5 already massively outsells Series X|S. Throw in price advantage of PS5 & no more exclusives on Xbox, the difference is only going to widen. The next 1-2yrs of this gen until next gen arrives is going to be brutal.
-Not to mention more competition on the PC side with Steam Machine. Windows truly suks. Besides anti-cheat games, gaming on Steam OS is going to be the way to go.
-PC storefronts (Steam, Epic, GOG, etc), & Playstation are going to eat Microsofts lunch. They are all going to be getting their 30% cut of sales and PC game prices are better than anything on Microsoft's shrinking ecosystem. There is no way Microsoft is going to able to subsidize their next gen console/PC. It is just not going to be price competitive, we already see this with Series X|S. There is no reason to think the economics will be any better for the next gen, in fact they will probably be only worse.

I hope I am wrong, because as a consumer, we all win with more competition, but at this point Microsoft/Xbox are already not competitive.
