Konami dropped its first multiplatform Silent Hill title in years last week in the form of Silent Hill F, and developer NeoBards has shared a positive update on the game's sales after a very brief time on the market.
By September 26th — just one day after the game's main release — Silent Hill F had sold one million units across physical and digital versions on all platforms. The dev team has then shared this milestone from the main Silent Hill account; counting from the game's early access release of September 23rd.
Given the vast majority of players will have waited until the base game's launch on the 26th, this is a very impressive milestone for the new Silent Hill title. We'd expect the game to have sold best on PS5 (and may see some sales breakdowns in the coming weeks), but we're hoping that the series' return to Xbox has at least led to a chunk of sales on the platform.
Commercial success aside, the game has performed well critically too. Here at Pure Xbox we enjoyed our time with Konami's new survival horror title, and plenty of other critics seemed to take to the game as well. We'll throw some links to all of those impressions down below!
