One of the games that really caught our eye at today's Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 showcase was Rhythm Doctor, which is a mad music game that's set to be an Xbox console exclusive when it releases on December 6th, 2025.
This one's already available in early access on Steam where it has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating, and the idea behind it is to heal patients by defibrillating in time to their heartbeats. There are 20+ handmade levels along with a robust level editor, plenty of bosses to defeat, and the ability to play either solo or in drop-in drop-out local multiplayer.
Here's a bit more about it:
Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game in a world where defibrillating patients' hearts in sync with their heartbeats has healing properties. Slam your spacebar in perfect time on the 7th beat, and they might just come out okay. But beware - every patient has unique illnesses based on complex music theory: polyrhythms, hemiolas, irregular time signatures...if you don't know what they mean, don't worry. Rhythm Doctor is designed to make you learn music and rhythm theory without even realising it!
You can see how insane this game looks in the trailer up above, and we'll throw some screenshots down below as well. No word on a price yet, but the Steam pricing suggests Rhythm Doctor will cost around £13.49 / $15.99 at launch.
