We never thought we'd be providing you with a Helldivers 2 comparison on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but here we are! The game has launched on both consoles today, and we have some first-look footage of how they stack up.

This is once again courtesy of Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube, which has a ridiculous track record of sharing these early performance and visual tests within just a few hours of the games becoming available - seriously quick work!

On Xbox Series X, Helldivers 2 runs at 4K resolution in Quality Mode and 1080p in Performance Mode, with the usual caveat that Dynamic Resolution Scaling may be involved. The Quality Mode seems to stick to a locked 30 frames per-second for the most part, but the Performance Mode is much more variable - it's 60FPS more often that not, but has the potential to drop to as low as around 53FPS when things get particularly hectic.

On Xbox Series S, Helldivers 2 is said to run at 1440p in Quality Mode and output at 1080p in Quality Mode (but potentially with a native resolution of 635p). You can definitely notice the reduced visuals in this version, but the snippet of Performance Mode footage here suggests it's actually more stable than on Series X, running at a consistent 60FPS. And again, Quality Mode seems to stick to a mostly locked 30FPS.

As always, these early tests / comparisons should be taken with a pinch of salt, as even Fuzion Xbox Testing mentions that certain results (like the native resolutions) can be approximate, but they're still a very helpful way to at least determine whether the Xbox version is worth playing or not - and this footage suggests it's a pretty good conversion from PS5 to Series X and Series S.

But hey, you be the judge for yourself! You can watch the two videos for yourself below, and we're sure plenty of you will be playing Helldivers 2 already, so please share your thoughts on the performance and visuals in the comments below.
