We're big fans of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 here at Pure Xbox, and it's getting even better today with the addition of a new Siege game mode as part of update 8.0, focusing on "endless enemy waves that challenge even the strongest teams".

This mode is PvE based as you'd expect, and includes "increasingly challenging" waves of Tyranid and Thousand Sons enemies complete with side objectives, a shop for reinforcements, boss encounters on every fifth wave, and the ability to take on "infinite waves" if you manage to get past the main goal of completing fifteen of them.

Here's a bit more about what to expect from the Siege game mode in Space Marine 2:

"Fight against impossible odds in Space Marine 2’s upcoming Siege Mode, a new PvE experience available for free to all players on June 26. Set on Kadaku, this new 3-player game mode lets you take down ever deadlier waves of Tyranid and Chaos forces in the defence of an Imperial fortress. Prepare to hold your ground and survive as long as you can against endless enemies, as only in death does duty end."

Elsewhere in update 8.0, there are a bunch of gameplay and balancing tweaks, updates to Perks, and two new cosmetic DLCs for anyone who owns the Gold Edition, Ultra Edition or Season Pass for the game.
