Out of nowhere, retro specialists Digital Eclipse announced as part of the June 2025 State of Play today that Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is heading our way this year - and it'll be available on Xbox One, Series X and Series S.
This game is a celebration of Mortal Kombat's early days, featuring all of the following titles:
- Mortal Kombat – 1992: Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear
- Mortal Kombat II -1993: Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X
- Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995: Arcade, SNES, Genesis
- Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995: Arcade, SNES
- Mortal Kombat 4 – 1997: Arcade
- Mortal Kombat Advance – 2001: Game Boy Advance
- Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002: Game Boy Advance
- Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003: Game Boy Advance
It's also been announced that more games will be announced for the list prior to the game's launch.
In addition, MK's Legacy Kollection features an interactive documentary, online play with rollback netcode, and various other goodies that Mortal Kombat fans are bound to obsess over when the game arrives.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has a release window of 2025, with a specific date set to be nailed down in the future.
