We can never have too many racing games on Xbox, so we're glad to see CarX Street going up for pre-orders today on the Xbox Store, coming in at a budget price of £24.99 / $29.99 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Looking into the history of CarX Street, it's actually been on PC and mobile devices for a while now, racking up a "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam based on over 10,000 user reviews. Many of those reviews mention that it's been improved a lot since a "mess" of a launch in 2024, with the majority appearing to enjoy what it has to offer these days. That said, it should be noted that CarX Street is actually cheaper on PC than Xbox for whatever reason.
In terms of the game itself, CarX Street is described as an "open-world racing game" featuring "thrilling races, offline or online" and incorporating "realistic gameplay and dynamic controls". It's made by the studio behind CarX Drift Racing Online so there's obviously a heavy focus on drifting here, but there's evidently more to it than that as well.
