Last month, Control & Alan Wake developer Remedy announced a June release date for its upcoming co-op game FBC: Firebreak - and now the title is getting a closed tech test ahead of its Xbox Game Pass launch.

The Finnish studio has extended an invite for players to sign up to the game's Closed Technical Test this weekend, which takes place from 6AM PDT / 9AM EDT / 2PM BST on May 15th though 1:59PM PDT / 4:59PM EDT / 9:59PM BST on May 19th. Folks can sign up for this test via the team's official website, although the studio does warn that not everyone will be selected:

"NOTE: Due to the limited capacity of this Closed Technical Test, a sign-up does not guarantee access. If you're selected, you will receive a key for the platform of your choice (Steam, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S) at that time, pending availability."

Still, if you're keen on trying this one ahead of its Xbox Game Pass release on June 17th, it might be worth throwing your hat in the ring and seeing if you're selected for this upcoming tech test. If you get in, you'll have a decent amount of time to try out FBC: Firebreak over the weekend!

With the full release then arriving next month, FBC: Firebreak currently stands as one of the biggest XGP titles lined up for June 2025 so far. To see how next month's Game Pass lineup looks at the minute, check out our recent story on what to expect from the service in June down below.
