Less than two years on from Alan Wake 2, developer Remedy is about to launch its next major title in co-op shooter FBC: Firebreak - and you can learn lots more about the Control spin-off in a new 'Special Livestream' showcase airing next week.
Yep, the Finnish studio confirmed the event at the tail end of its Hazards of the Job trailer, which we've thrown up above for your viewing pleasure. The team's FBC-focused showcase then goes ahead on Thursday, April 24th at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.
In the meantime, here's Remedy's latest rundown on what to expect from FBC: Firebreak:
"The Oldest House is teeming with dangerous paranatural hazards, like a Furnace spewing fire across the Maintenance Sector or pink Exogenic Mass that explodes if you touch it. It’s up to you, as a Firebreaker, to face these hazards with your friends, contain them, and get out in one piece.
FBC: Firebreak is a 3-player cooperative first-person shooter set within the enigmatic Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). As the Bureau’s headquarters faces a deadly and prolonged siege by otherworldly forces, only Firebreak—its most adaptable response unit—has the skills and courage to restore order."
It's worth remembering that last October, Remedy confirmed that FBC: Firebreak is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, which is fantastic news for all who subscribe to the Microsoft service. We're not sure how much the team's Control spin-off will cost outside of the service (this upcoming showcase will hopefully tell us), but Remedy has confirmed that the title won't be a free-to-play release when it launches in Summer 2025.
