Outlet IGN has posted its 'final preview' for Lightyear Frontier; the new mech farming sim that's coming to Xbox Game Pass next month. At launch this will be classed as an Xbox Game Preview title, but it's been in the works for years now and is looking real nice on the eve of its initial release.
Up above there's a solid six-minutes of new gameplay to take a good look at - alongside an interesting breakdown from the IGN team on how this one is shaping up. Here's a small snippet from their preview, which seems largely positive despite questions about the game's pacing:
"With its chill pace and sense of laid-back humor, I think that Lightyear Frontier is really going to appeal to people and groups of friends who want something low commitment, and low pressure, to enjoy at the end of the day. Conversely, if you go in wanting to optimize and rush around you might feel like the core pacing of Lightyear Frontier is getting in your way."
If you'd like to get a taste of this one early, there's a free Xbox demo available right now, containing access to a chunk of the full release prior to its March launch. The Game Preview release lands on Xbox Game Pass on March 19th, 2024.
