Last week we caught wind of the upcoming reboot of Delta Force - a military FPS series that debuted in the late '90s. And now, during Gamescom Opening Night Live, the team has fully unveiled Delta Force: Hawk Ops, an upcoming free-to-play title on the way to Xbox.

Up above you can see the gameplay reveal trailer for Hawk Ops, which is looking quite impressive if we may say so. There are some big shades of Battlefield in here, especially when DICE's series really hit its stride around the Battlefield 3 era.

Of course, Delta Force: Hawk Ops is aiming to bring own flavour to the large-scale military shooter scene, and here's a bit more about what the developer is hoping to achieve with its upcoming free-to-play release:

"Experience the dynamic and realistic battlefield from a first-person perspective, engage in all-out land, sea, and air combat, and feel the adrenaline rush of two-way offense and defense.

Master the art of vehicular warfare with a powerful arsenal of nearly 10 combat machines, including attack boats, M1 tanks, F35 Fighter Jets, LAV-25 armored vehicles, and A10 attack planes."

The game will also feature a campaign mode, although for now, the team hasn't detailed whether that will be a part of the free-to-play release or some sort of paid expansion. There's no launch date yet either, but expect Delta Force: Hawk Ops to blast its way onto Xbox consoles in the near future.
