Okay, what's going on here?! Developer PocketPair just showcased more of its new game Palworld and we don't know what to make of it. Looking at the trailer it's... a third-person shooter take on Pokémon? We're not sure if we're up for that or not to be honest!

The proof will ultimately be in the Pokémon-flavoured pudding when Palworld launches on Xbox and PC, so we'll reserve full judgement until we can try it out for ourselves. At the moment, the game is scheduled it hit PC early access in January 2024, while the team has yet to divulge its Xbox release plans.

However, looking back at the dev's history on Xbox, its last big game Craftopia did come to Game Preview along with Xbox Game Pass in September 2021. Palworld hasn't been confirmed for either of those two programs yet, but we'll keep you updated if we hear any more of the game's Xbox arrival.

Palworld looks to be an Xbox console exclusive for now much like Craftopia, so we're definitely keen to see how it does on the platform when it launches!
