Rumour: Forza Motorsport To Release This October, It's Claimed

Turn 10 Studios has been working away on its grand Forza Motorsport reboot for more than five years at this point, and we're still none the wiser on when the game is coming out. Sure, we have a 2023 window, but beyond that, it's anyone's guess really. The months of October and November have been kind to Forza fans in recent times though, and a new rumour points towards the upcoming title continuing that trend.

YouTube host MrMattyPlays dropped a little hint about a potential release window on a recent episode of the Defining Duke podcast. The claim is vague and very much a rumour right now, but Matty reckons we could be looking at an October release month for Forza Motorsport.

"I will say that I think Phil slipped out the Fall to Holiday window lineup. In that very particular order especially with information I've received I think he definitely let it slip - how things are going to release.

When he said we've got Starfield, Forza, Hellblade 2, I was like 'that's a very particular order'. It happens to match predictions but also I will say — little scoop here — I have heard that Forza Motorsport is coming out in October."

The host is referring to Phil's recent interview where he indeed discussed Xbox's upcoming lineup, further committing to a solid slate of games for Xbox Series X|S users in the coming months.

However, neither Phil nor anyone else on the team has mentioned any kind of release date for Forza Motorsport yet, so this is clearly still very much a rumour at this stage. Starfield is coming in September, with Forza potentially aiming to arrive just after Bethesda's huge RPG - if this rumour is to be believed.
