As I play Minecraft pretty much every week I would normally be quite interested in the yearly update. While this one isn't such a game changer as say the Caves & Cliffs one it does bring some interesting stuff to play with.
As I said normally interested but given the timing Diablo 4 will be taking every waking moment I have to spare.
I am sure I will get round to enjoying this update eventually and given that it's Minecraft you don't really miss out on anything by not going in day one
(Also much shame on Mojang for still not releasing RTX on console. A feature used to promote and sell the series consoles when they launched 3 years ago)
Looking forward to the update but I have to say I was disappointed with the last update as my older worlds became corrupted probably because the height of worlds has changed. One of them was probably a thousand hours invested. π₯
I had a BIG break from Minecraft because of that. Got back into it recently with the family but we shall start a new world after the patch.
As for ray-tracing I lost hope. That boat has sailed and I think the reason is because the Series S console isn't powerful enough and even the Series X will suffer with full path raytracing. I would of been happy with raytracing at 30fps if possible but all I see is extra content and paid dlc as the future of Minecraft.
