Xbox's latest Insider update has been detailed by Microsoft, and it adds a neat feature to the Discord chat integration. Starting today for Alpha Insiders, Xbox gamertags will be more visible across the board when using Discord.

This is because Xbox is now showing linked accounts within the Discord section on Xbox. Unless a user opts out (which is totally doable if you don't want your tag to show), any Discord accounts that are linked to Xbox will show the applicable gamertag within Discord on Xbox.

As you can see, Microsoft is hoping this move will make it a little easier to recognise users by their Xbox gamertags, rather than whatever Discord name they have. The feature is now live for Alpha Xbox Insiders, with it set to roll out to all Xbox players in the coming weeks.

The rest of this Insider update is pretty light - mostly focusing on controller bug fixes, new language options and some minor changes to how you can view Xbox Game Pass Quests.

If you're still getting used to Discord on Xbox, we've provided a handy video guide which you can watch below!
