Another Xbox Game Pass addition is now available, folks! Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is the service's brand-new title for March 21st, and it takes shape as 'The Prince's Edition' which contains all of the game's premium DLC as well.

Already played the game when it first came out and its an amazing game, much much better than the first game personally in every aspect and much more to do with town building, bounties and tactical skirmishes. Plus its hack and slash.

Xbox players are in for a treat.

With shocking anti-aliasing and very poor shadow quality no doubt. The first outing on XBSX was so naff in the graphical department, that it looks better on Switch.

Sadly, I couldn’t get into the second game. I felt like it lost all of what made the first game so special. It felt as if the game had no soul. I also didn’t like the inventory management. You were picking up so many items and you couldn’t even realize it because the text on screen was so little and quickly disappeared. Maybe I’ll give the game another attempt since I haven’t played it since launch.

This has been on my todo list for a long time. I have a copy for the PS4 sitting in my collection.

Had the first one installed on my switch for probably 2 years now - gotten for the bargin price of £7…such a bargin that I’ve never felt need to play it, it just exists…waiting.

Am I right in that this is a completely different story? So there’s nothing missed from not playing the first?

@Bleachedsmiles Its fully standalone. Oliver from NNK gets a passing mention in the DLC but that's about it. No need to have played NNK at all.
