Xbox Starfield

It finally happened, folks! Microsoft has awoken from its 2022 slumber to announce Xbox 'Developer_Direct', an upcoming livestream featuring deep dives on Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends and more. Notably, Starfield will be absent from the show this time around as Xbox and Bethesda have other plans for the upcoming open world RPG.

Within the announcement post, Xbox says the following:

"To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone show is in the works."

Now, we don't have any sort of timeframe on the Starfield showcase, aside from the fact that it'll arrive after the January developer direct of course. Considering it's getting its very own show, we'd expect Bethesda to go all out with its next Starfield showing.

As for the game's final release date? That remains up in the air at the time of writing. Bethesda is still saying "first half of 2023", although the later this showcase arrives, the less likely that launch window seems.
