Forza Teams Pay Respects To Legendary Rally Driver Ken Block

It is an incredibly sad day in the motorsport community, with the news the famous American rally car driver Ken Block has died in a snowmobile accident at the age of 55.

Ken's influence on motorsport stretched far and wide. Apart from a successful rally career, he founded the motor racing team Hoonigan and was also a co-founder of DC Shoes. He even had an impact on video game series like Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon over the years - with many titles drawing inspiration from his famous Gymkhana series.

His cars have featured in these games as well, and he even had a significant role in titles such as Need for Speed (2015) and the Dirt series.

As a mark of respect, the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon teams have both issued messages of support to Ken's family and friends via social media. Other car games have also taken a moment to pay their respects:

Forza Motorsport: "@kblock43 from @TheHoonigans had a huge influence on the motorsports community around the world. Our deepest condolences to his family. You will be missed, Ken."

Forza Horizon: "Devastating news about the loss of @kblock43 - he was a legend in Motorsports and will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences to his family and the team at @TheHoonigans"

Turn 10 Studio Head Alan Hartman: "Was such a pleasure to know you, share laughs, and a few passions. #RipLegend @kblock43"

Gran Turismo: "RIP Ken Block. A legend lost too soon."

On behalf of the team and community here at Pure Xbox, our thoughts go out to Ken's family and friends during this difficult time.
