Dead Island 2's latest developer, Dambuster Studios, has announced a short delay to the upcoming open world zombie romp. The game is now landing on April 28th, 2023, pushed back slightly from its previous February 3rd release date.
The team says that it's taking the extra development time to ship a game it'll be "proud to launch", even though it acknowledges the "irony" of further delaying Dead Island 2.
Ahead of the game's new April launch date, Dambuster will deliver a Dead Island Showcase on December 6th. Expect "exciting new trailers and gameplay" next month when the showcase takes place on both Twitch and YouTube.

I mean... It's not like it's been delayed before. š
The game was revealed so many years ago I don't think the delay will bother very many ppl.
Well crap I was really looking forward to this but if they need the time they need the time.
Looking on the bright side I might get to play Atomic Heart at launch after all.
Glad they got out of the busy February month. Iām happy with it
Moving anything out of February 2023 is a wise move. More stacked than Feb 2022.
I am certain this was a commercial choice over a developent one. Feb is stacked and Howarts Legacy is going to dominate the month.
"12 short weeks" lol k
Here we go again
