Xbox is beginning to rework its somewhat flawed GameDVR system, with the feature's latest changes coming to the Xbox Beta app for mobile devices this week. As originally spotted by The Verge's Tom Warren, a recent app update has added the ability to edit / trim clips on Xbox Live, and it looks nice and simple in its current iteration.
Thankfully, the team is beginning to make progress with console GameDVR. Last week, Xbox announced that folks in the Insider program will start to see bitrate improvements to clips at both 720p and 1080p resolutions.
As we mentioned before, this new ability to edit clips on the Xbox mobile app is currently exclusive to the "Beta" version of the app, which you can still download for free from the Google Play Store (or sign up to test on the Apple Store). It'll be rolling out to the normal version in the near future as well.
