Over this past weekend, the Halo World Championship final has been taking place in Seattle, which has provided the opportunity for some of the most prominent Team Xbox members to attend, given its relatively close proximity to Xbox HQ. One of those members is the Xbox boss himself, Phil Spencer, who has since taken to Twitter to thank everyone included in the production.
Although Xbox's Major Nelson isn't quite as fan-facing as he once was, the long-time exec was also present, trying his hand at the Halo arcade game, 'Fireteam Raven', while attending the event.
If you're into your competitive Halo you'll know that Optic Gaming came out on top in the end, becoming Halo World Champions in the process.
Outside the world of esports, 343 Industries detailed a huge Halo Infinite update last week, set to arrive on November 8th. Judging by everything coming to the game as part of the Winter Update, November 2022 looks like something of a relaunch for Halo Infinite.

Really happy for Optic. I was hoping they would win
I see via the self worshipping Mjr Nelson tweet, (with a small sprinkle of Halo on top) that he is still infatuated with himself. Nice...
On topic, good to see Halo has this sort of competitive foundation. I had no idea it was quite this big.
@Kaloudz damn your major nelson beef is personal 🤣
@Kaloudz TBH... I'm surprised he still has a job at Xbox. Everything I see or hear anything about him. It a consistent reminder I'm getting old. X-X
@AverageGamer I don't even know what it is that he "does" other than PR lol. He made Crackdown 3 sound like AAAA material. Man... How I miss the release simplicity of the early 90s...
@Cherip-the-Ripper Lmao! For real... Seeing his mug on my screen week in week out just did it for me 🤣
@Kaloudz He supposed to be a Director of Programming for xbox... So basically I guess handles livestream, podcast... etc
@AverageGamer well so long as I don't have to keep looking at his super satisfied mug on my dashboard again, I'll get by lol.
