Xbox has revealed the next batch of titles leaving its Game Pass service soon. At present, five games are scheduled to leave mid-August, including Curse of the Dead Gods and Train Sim World 2.
One of these games is a PC-only Game Pass title, with the rest all affecting the console library as well. Here's the full list (so far) of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in the earlier part of August:
| Date | Game | Platform |
| August 15 | Boyfriend Dungeon | Console, PC, Cloud |
| August 15 | Curse of the Dead Gods | Console, PC, Cloud |
| August 15 | Library of Ruina | Console, PC, Cloud |
| August 15 | Starmancer | PC |
| August 15 | Train Sim World 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, current Game Pass members can buy these games at a 20% discount (or higher in some cases) between now and when they leave the library.
Any of these you're planning on playing before August 15th? Let us know!

Starmancer was an odd one, got released as Early Access on Steam and Game Pass in a fairly buggy state. Got patched a little bit (not hugely so) and then is being removed from Game Pass before it gets near full launch...
Another "these games are leaving Game Pass" with none i've missed. Always a good feeling.
@themightyant haha, same here.
The only one I miss right now is Raji (started it, liked it, but then I got hooked on some other game).
Other than that, I am cool.
@HarmanSmith It's literally the worst thing about Game Pass, suddenly finding a game you are playing, or want to play is leaving. Really wish they would give us more notice or even better put leaving dates on (PS Now used to do this). Sometimes those will change as deals are extended etc. but it would be helpful for gamers.
Ruina leaving is a shame, I only really started playing it recently and I'm in love with it. I guess I can hope for a sale?
@themightyant Now that you mention it, yes.
I had not thought about it, but it would be really useful. Because now it is "Hurry, you have X days to play this game!".
@HarmanSmith I honestly hate it, it's so stressful. Dropping games you are currently playing just to rush to get back to one before it leaves. It's a poor user experience and so unnecessary.
@Shigurui It's not usually one month, often we have less than 2 weeks (lets us know on 1st-4th of the month that games are leaving on the 15th) It's not enough time, especially for longer titles.
Moreover gamers shouldn't have to check back on the "leaving soon page" (how often do you actually do that?) or websites like PX to let us know if a game is leaving (most gamers don't use websites). They have a "play later" feature on Xbox, ideally we could set this up to notify us if a game was leaving.
TLDR Game Pass is an amazing service but this little thing is really annoying and could be improved so easily, there's plenty of options to make it a better user experience.
@Shigurui lol. Did you like Raji? I play halfway into it, I think.
Boyfriend Dungeon actually entertained me for about three hours I fired it up just to try it... haha
@themightyant Game Pass always gives you at least 2 weeks notice that games are being removed, and let's face it, if a game has been there for an entire year and you've not played it you probably weren't that interested to begin with.
I did finish Raji before it left, it's literally only 5 hours long. Did it in one sitting over the weekend.
The only game out of this lot that I had any interest in was Train Sim World 2 which I bought in a recent sale, got the Deluxe Edition for about £8
I was hoping to try train sim world at some point, but was waiting for a rainy weekend or something. Looks like I'll have to leave it.
I played Library of Ruina halfway. It got really hard at some point.
