It's become an annual tradition at this point for Xbox boss Phil Spencer to pick out one or two Xbox Game Pass highlights from the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and this year he's picked The Last Case of Benedict Fox.

Spencer shared his thoughts on Twitter last night, commenting that the lovecraftian metroidvania catches his eye "as something I'm really interested in personally", calling it something he "can't wait to play":

"There are always a couple of new games in our showcase each year that catch my eye as something I'm really interested in personally. This was one for me this year. Can't wait to play."

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is coming to Xbox Game Pass in Spring 2023, and is described as a game where you'll "fight demons, explore the subconscious, and solve elaborate puzzles in a labyrinthian adventure".

Last year, Spencer chose to highlight the snowboarding game Shredders as one of his highlights from the Xbox Games Showcase 2021, along with the 2.5D action platformer Replaced, which is now targeting a release window of 2023.
