The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks program is getting supercharged this December with a cool 'Pass Tense' bundle for Halo Infinite, which is the first in a line of monthly multiplayer Game Pass Perks heading our way.
This first bundle includes the exclusive ‘Pass Tense’ MA40 Assault Rifle coating, four 2XP Boosts and four Challenge Swaps. It'll be available to claim from the Perks gallery on console, PC or mobile from December 8th.
"It’s an awesome time for Perks because we’re excited to reveal that Ultimate members will be locked in to get monthly Halo Infinite Multiplayer bonuses, starting with the first bundle on December 8! Don’t forget to claim this and more in the Perks gallery on your Xbox console, Xbox App on Windows PCs, and the Xbox Game Pass mobile app."
In addition, we'll be getting more item-based Game Pass Perks this month for the likes of Dauntless, Apex Legends and World of Warships: Legends, with those specific three Perks going live this Thursday, December 2nd.
Don't know about you, but we're just excited for that free Halo Infinite content...
Happy with these freebies for Halo Infinite? Let us know down in the comments below.
Gonna be snapping this one up right away. So @fraserg your wording leads me to understand that we're going to be getting these monthly?
@Krzzystuff Yep, monthly 👍
@FraserG that extra bit of crack sprinkle on top
Glad to see. Cosmetics in this game are slow to get through the battle pass, and honestly way to expensive in the store.
@SplooshDmg I bought hot pockets for halo. Then when home read on box there are no codes. Yep. None.
You have to mail s**t in to get codes. Hell with that. People should avoid buying hot pockets on that pretty much bait and switch tactics.
I think the Halo Infinite Battle Pass should be free with Game Pass. Because if I really get into playing Halo Infinite Multiplayer and it eats up all my time, I'll probably cancel Game Pass.
The way it's set up now, they'll lose GP subs.
@Fishticon Does this really stand to reason or are you making a joke?
I can't believe the vitriol Halo online is getting on Reddit and Twitter right now over XP and progression. I can't say I've been comfortable with the progression as some of the challenges take away from the game mode you're playing sometimes, but 343 have adjusted XP twice since the game launched and are still monitoring it. Then some folk are angry that GPU members are getting these perks. Wish they'd just shut up.
No excuse why code not in box. It's on the Rockstar can pop tops.
Really rubs me wrong way honestly. Don't me make jump thru hoops after I bought the product for reasons of a game code.
Poor implementation. Plain and simple.
Ya'll see Chipotle is giving out 5x challenge swap tokens for 100 reward points? Not sure how many you can redeem, though.
That's great, I'm almost out of challenge swaps after using them on game specific challenges where the game type I need never procs in their completely "fair" RNG matchmaking.
@Zochmenos I'm being real. Xbox made it so people can play F2P games without Gold. And people who play F2P games usually stick to that one game. So if they made it so that subscribing to Game Pass would give you the Battle Pass in Halo Infinite, they would still get money.
But how they have it now, they would only get money from people who want their characters to have things on them that no one even notices.
@Fishticon Ha ha, I definitely notice every time someone has a Cloud 9 skin...cause it usually means they're awful, lol.
To your main point, I think I get what you're saying, but I also think it's a bit paradoxical. The paid Battle Pass option would still be a tremendously better value for single game focused players you describe.
Now, if you nix the paid BP and ONLY offer it through Gamepass? ...well, maybe that would work for a little while. But it still seems like a worse case scenario for all involved. Even Microsoft's benefit seems dubious.
I couldn't care less about Halo Multiplayer so unless they have some worthwhile Single Player perks like replacing Mr Halo's voice lines with Duke Nukem these'll go unclaimed like all the Fallout 76 perks.
