Xbox Is Giving 8 Free Months Of Game Pass To Subscribers In India

How's this for a nice little bonus?! Xbox in India is giving away eight months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to current subscribers, and is even offering seven months of free XGP to those who sign up for the service for the first time.

The reason for this is linked to The Reserve Bank of India, which recently "added new requirements for processing recurring transactions through the RBI-E mandate". Here's what Microsoft had to say in an email to current members (thanks IGN India):

"The Reserve Bank of India recently added new requirements for processing recurring transactions through the RBI-E mandate, intended to enhance the safety and security of these transactions. We at Microsoft are updating our payment systems to enable recurring payments in accordance with these requirements.

In the meantime to help avoid disruption, we have added 8-months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to your account at no additional charge so you don't have to worry about making recurring payments during this time and can just enjoy playing games."

Xbox users in India have been receiving messages about this on their consoles, many of which have been shared across social media over the past week. The offer appears to be rolling out to all current XGP members in the region.

Without a doubt, there are some great Game Pass bonuses here if you're a fan of Xbox and you live in India.
