It looks like the team behind The Banner Saga is working on an upcoming Xbox exclusive, with reports from both the GrubbSnax show and Windows Central suggesting that this project is in the works at Microsoft.
The exclusive is seemingly being built under Xbox Global Publishing, and will feature "similar painted art styles to that found in The Banner Saga", along with "side-scrolling brawling combat" and crafting and upgrade elements.
If you haven't heard of it, The Banner Saga is a series of "epic role-playing Viking sagas" in which player choices affect how the narrative progresses, featuring a distinct art style and strategic turn-based battles.
There's no word on a potential release window as of yet, but we'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Banner Saga games are among my favorite games of the past generation...plot, art and gameplay are masterpieces
I own the trilogy but have only played like the first hour of the first. Is it worth it to get into them? I have way to many games.
