Forza Horizon 5 is getting a ton of previews ahead of its launch, with Playground Games revealing new information every week. The latest has focused (partly) on the Eliminator mode, accompanied by 11 minutes of new gameplay.
Originally added to Forza Horizon 4 post-launch, the popular mode - which is claimed to be the series' most successful multiplayer mode to date - is arriving day one for Forza Horizon 5.
In the gameplay, 50 players are seen battling it out in a shrinking arena, with the twist that a racer can challenge another to a head-to-head race. These challenges can help kick out certain players, with the losers being eliminated. Winning races and exploring the map grants you faster cars, which you can use to help you gain an advantage.
Playground Games has said it had Eliminator mode in mind when designing the map, ensuring the head-to-head challenges force players to race down some stunning vistas. If you've never played Eliminator before, it's a fun and unique twist on the battle royale genre, and a mode fans of the series will be glad to see return.
If multiplayer isn't your cup of tea, the team also released a ton of single-player gameplay earlier this month, focusing on some of the new fun activities you'll be engaging in. There's not much longer to go until Forza Horizon 5 releases on November 9 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Bring it on!

I forgot this became a thing, thanks to 4. I'll probably get this at launch since I haven't bought an Xbox game in a while and Horizon is one of my favorite racing series.
All this time, I haven't seen a concentrated racing track. Hope they didn't overlook those in their scope of bringing a wide world.
Honestly, I'm a bit scared FH5 will be a bit style over substance.
I know Forza Horizon 5 will be a good game just like 4 was. Sadly for me if it's like 4 I think it will again be one I won't enjoy as it's not what I want from a racing game.
My cup of tea is more track racing on actual tracks like Silverstone or Monza and the offerings on Xbox are a bit thin in that department right know. Not really counting Forza Motorsport 7 as that is pretty dire and not really got any expectations for the next in that series either, whenever it surfaces. Potentially when Assetto Corsa Competizione gets its 60fps next gen up date it might be a little better but that is a few months away.
I will probably still take a look at Horizon 5 but I don't see it sticking with me personally but I am in the minority I imagine. I am sure most folks will have a lot of fun with it and the game will be a huge success
So how do you eliminate other drivers?
This woman's hair is hard to look at. Game looks great!
