It Looks Like Call Of Duty: Vanguard Is Getting An FOV Slider On Xbox

Call of Duty fans has been asking for a FOV slider in Call of Duty: Vanguard, something available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Sledgehammer Games has seemingly confirmed the feature will be coming.

Many were worried the feature wouldn't be included, after rumours of its absence. Shared by the game's senior development director, a PlayStation screenshot revealed a FOV slider, with values ranging all the way from 60 to 120. While it's only shown for the PlayStation at the moment, it seems fairly likely the feature will also be available in the Xbox version.

An in-game message does warn that changing the FOV slider could cause a "lower framerate and some graphical artefacts". There's also an increased risk of motion sickness.

As pointed out by GamesRadar, it's possible this feature could be exclusive to the next-gen versions of the game. Due to the framerate issues that spawn at a higher FOV value, it may miss the Xbox One entirely. It's not been confirmed what specific platforms it will be arriving on, but with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War including it in all versions, we suspect it will be shipped across all generations.

Now if they could just add the same feature to the console version of Call of Duty: Warzone...
