Having been delayed until November, EA has finally announced its Battlefield 2042 beta plans. Eager fans can expect to jump in between October 8 - 9, with early access open from October 6 for anyone who has pre-ordered or is an EA Play member (which includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers).

Pre-loading for the beta begins on October 5, ahead of its release. Unfortunately, any progress made during the beta won't carry over to the main game, but you can share as much content as you want during your time with it.

The fan favourite Conquest mode will be available on the map known as Orbital, which includes a massive rocket that is ready to launch into space.

Adapt and overcome in the near-future, all-out war of Battlefield 2042. Put boots on the ground in the classic Conquest mode on Orbital – a map where enemy fire and chaotic weather conditions can help or hinder your fight.

Four specialists will be available during the open beta, each with their unique skills and techniques for battle. Across the various days, you'll be able to get a real taste of the game ahead of its November 19 launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. We're excited to finally try Battlefield 2042 out!
