Microsoft Rewards is the gift that keeps on giving, and if you're willing to risk throwing some of your hard-earned points away, you can be in with a chance of winning an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription... for life!
By going to the 'Redeem' section on the Microsoft Rewards Xbox app (or website), you should find the sweepstakes option for this. It costs 200 points per-entry, and there will only be one winner per-region who gets the prize, which includes a commemorative Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership card engraved with the winner's gamertag.
"Winner will receive one (1) Prize of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Access 'For Life', and one (1) commemorative XGPU card with winner's Gamertag.
'For Life' prize element to be awarded as an annual subscription updated on an annual basis for the Winner’s life, up to forty (40) years, providing Winner maintains a valid Microsoft Account.
At any time during the forty (40) year period, Sponsor may elect to [instead] provide a prepaid gift card to the winner in the amount of £132.00 / $180.00 per year..."
Availability of this sweepstakes will vary depending on region, but we've verified that it's definitely available in both the UK and the US, with entries being taken until September 22. A winner will then be chosen in early October and contacted by "phone, email and/or mail", so be on the lookout!
If you're not interested in this, you might be more keen on the custom Psychonauts 2 Xbox Series X bundle that is being given away, and there's also a Far Cry 6 variant as well. Lots to spend your points on if you're feeling lucky!

There were also a couple of sweepstakes for some really good gaming PC's, including a PC that looked like a jet engine lol.
@TuckNorris85 Yep, there are gaming PC bundles for Microsoft Flight Sim, Forza Horizon 5 and Battlefield 2042 as well!
I went ahead and got 25 entries. I'm honestly more interested in the card, lol.
Lifetime = 40 years..........
.........
...............
So......does Microsoft know something we don't?
@leathco I thought the same! Haha Infinite Gamepass is nice but oooooooo that card looks awesome 😂
Looks like it’s not available in Canada, all I see is an earbuds contest.
I already named my firstborn “Game Pass” what else do they want me to do in order to get free gamepass for life!?!?!?
@NEStalgia Due to legal complexities, they cannot use vague terms like “lifetime” in the deal. They have to define what it exactly means.
I've wasted so many points on these draws. I know you have to be in it to win it, but I'd rather keep the points and put towards a game or something.
@Senua Only a lawyer could find the word "lifetime" vague. Usually a death certificate is sufficient terms for cancellation of the contract
At minimum you'd think they'd do "99 years", or the average human lifespan (76-ish years?) Or the average human lifespan minus the legal minimum age, 58 years, just round to 60 for it to make sense. 40....seems remarkably short and arbitrary for "lifetime". As-is, a 20 year old that wins gets "lifetime" until they're 60, then their life is over. And they don't even qualify for retirement yet!
Nooo, don't tell everyone!
I thought I might stand a decent-ish chance with my 150 entries for 5000 points lol. Probably will be 5K points down the drain anyway 😅 as I hardly ever win anything.
Best of luck to all who take part!
I know I won't win but decided to enter for the card , the psychonauts 2 series X & the Forza horizon 5 gaming pc
@NEStalgia Maybe that’s the lifetime they have defined for their business licenses.
@Senua I'm sure it is. But it doesn't change the fact the 40 years seems awfully short for a "lifetime license."
Do they sell enterprise licenses of Windows as "800 seats"?
@GunValkyrie Is it because of the Halo Taco Bell, Halo Monster Energy Drink, and Halo Doritos in the Xbox Series X Fridge?
I can't help but feel these contests are more to keep people from dumping point into Xbox gift cards for free games.
@Zochmenos They already have. Multiple times. You use to be able to buy way more Microsoft credit per Bing Reward points.
In 2014 a $5 Xbox gift card cost 465 reward points.
Today a $5 gift card costs 10,000 points.
Only had 200 points, and I elegantly applied them for one entry, and I shall be the winner.
Don't tempt me! At my current pace, I could get BF 2042 for dirt cheap by release. Stop, haha.
I would be 80 when this expires. I don't think I'll be around then
I'll save my points so I can get Tales of Arise.
@ymo1965 I just redeemed 91,000 last week for $100 on the Microsoft store. Made the Astro A40 headset purchase a lot more palatable.
@InterceptorAlpha read a Reddit thread about just that earlier this week. The more people dump points into the contests, the more value for those that keep them for real rewards. If everyone stopped dumping points into the sweepstakes, the amounts needed for gift cards would likely go up.
I redeemed $100 last week from my points. Only started actively saving points earlier this year. MS clearly doesn't want tons of people like me LOL
@Generik Awesome. That's what I'm talkin' about!
Lol, with my luck? Never gonna happen
@TuckNorris85 Yeah these things are cool but nobody really wins these things.
@Generik Smart, but I always spend my points on $5 - $10 gift cards as soon as possible. Seems like it always works out for me getting a sale item/DLC even cheaper or for free. Last time I had a bunch of points saved up I spent them on Gamepass Ultimate.
I'd take that prize if i were offered it, sadly I don't have that kind of luck.
