The popular PC team-based, tactical FPS shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm has finally been given a release date for consoles, with the Xbox version landing on September 29, available to pre-order now.
Insurgency: Sandstorm will allow you to "engage in realistic modern firefights in the definitive tactical FPS on consoles", featuring intense 8-player co-operative gameplay, objective-based PVP matches with up to 20 players, realistic ballistics and "stunning" attention to detail, and the ability to fully customise your character and weapons.

I'm very curious to see how this plays. Particularly because while the PC version has controller support, it works like ass. I was better off using my Steam Controller in mouse mode.
What makes this a "tactical first person shooter" as opposed to a regular fps? Operation flashpoint games and the older rainbow six and ghost recon games were tactical. Is this along those lines or is this more CoD? Man, I miss those older gr and r6 games.
