Halo Fans Really Want The Xbox Series X Special Edition Controller To Be Available Seperatly

During Gamescom last week, we got treated to the reveal of a beautiful Halo Infinite limited edition Xbox Series X console. It's stunning and even comes packed with a special 20th anniversary Halo controller. Following the announcement, Halo fans have desperately wanted to see the controller sold separately, but it isn't looking likely.

A thread from Stallion, the first Xbox user to reach one million gamerscore, has sparked an extreme amount of interest in the controller. This is not to be confused with the Halo Infinite Xbox Elite Controller that was announced at the same time, but the one exclusively tied to the limited edition Xbox Series X console. Many are saying they'd buy it in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, it's tied behind a pricy (and hard-to-find) console bundle.

The interest doesn't seem to be encouraging Xbox to make the controller available separately either, as senior marketing manager Josh Munsee has confirmed it will not be available to purchase on its own.

Another user was quick to mention that Xbox has previously made Halo controllers purchasable on their own outside of their limited edition consoles, but it doesn't appear to be the case this time around.

Perhaps the demand will encourage Xbox to make the Halo 20th anniversary controller a separate item, but as it stands, it looks like you'll have to put down some money on a shiny new Xbox Series X to grab one.
