Update (Tue 24th Aug, 2021 21:45 BST): It's now been made official as part of Xbox's Gamescom 2021 Showcase that Crusader Kings 3 is heading to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, possibly as a next-gen exclusive.

This version is said to "take advantage of the many strengths of the system", including ultrafast loading times that will "enable you to easily switch between the game and a playthrough or tutorial you are checking out on YouTube."

The UI has also been customized to work with the Xbox Wireless Controller, featuring the addition of radial menus, "ensuring none of the depth and detail of the Crusader Kings III experience has been lost in translation."

There's no release date for Crusader Kings 3 on console yet, but it will reportedly be announced "soon".

"We hope that the Xbox community will grasp the opportunity to play one of the most popular strategy titles in the world. Like an upstart noble seizing the moment and claiming the throne, will you rule your own virtual realm from the comfort of your sofa?!"

Original story (Mon 23rd Aug, 2021 12:30 BST): The latest entry in the beloved PC strategy series Crusader Kings dropped on Xbox Game Pass for PC last year, and now it looks like Crusader Kings 3 will also be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S very soon.

This is according to the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee (thanks Gematsu), which has additionally rated the game for PlayStation 5 alongside the three Xbox consoles. Until now, there had been no word of a console version.

Crusader Kings 3 was critically-acclaimed when it arrived for PC back in September of 2020, going on to earn a prestigious "must-play" rating over at Metacritic with an average review score of 91 (and a user score of 8.4).

We assume whenever it does arrive for Xbox, it'll also be included with Game Pass for console. Let's hope so!
