Mortal Kombat 11's DLC Has 'Come To An End', Confirms NetherRealm

Just over two years since the game first made its debut, developer NetherRealm has confirmed that DLC for Mortal Kombat 11 has officially come to an end, as the company shifts focus to working on its next project.

The news was announced in a brief post on Twitter, where the studio acknowledged that support has been provided for over a two-year period, and the time has come to move on. The official Xbox account also replied to the tweet:

Mortal Kombat 11's most notable piece of DLC arrived last year in the form of the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion, which included an additional story mode, new characters, new stages, the return of stage fatalities and more, and was bundled into Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Series X and S this past November.

It's no surprise to hear that NetherRealm is now ready to move on, and we're intrigued to see what's next. Injustice 3, maybe? Creator Ed Boon even appears to have been hinting (or joking) about a Marvel crossover game recently...
