It's perhaps no surprise that a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may be in the works considering how well the first game sold. What may be something of a shock is how soon we could be hearing about its official announcement.
Earlier this week, Game Informer launched an article stating it was a good time to head back into the original game ahead of EA Play Live next month. Following this, the EA Star Wars Twitter account drew attention to the piece, honing in on the quote: "Now is a great time to get back to Jedi: Fallen Order."
This has obviously got fans talking, with many "smelling" an announcement during the upcoming EA Play Live event on July 22. While it could just be a simple advertisement for the game, the fact that Game Informer referenced the event may suggest something is coming.
Another title many are eagerly requesting is Star Wars Battlefront III, a game which has been massively hoped for by the community following the success of the previous entry. While it had a rocky start with its microtransaction debacle, it later became a much-loved addition to the Star Wars franchise and still has a strong following today.
Whether EA is directly teasing anything here remains to be seen. It could just be an incentive to push people to check out the first game, which recently received a next-gen upgrade. EA Play Live is now just a few weeks away and anticipation is high, but it's always best to keep expectations in check.

This would be awesome, loved the first one.
Don't care. Give me Dead Space or GTFO!
That would be great but it might be too soon. Maybe GI was just implying it's a good time simply because it's a Star Wars game and EA might be showing some kind of SW game. I'm 50/50 on that one.
A teaser trailer would be boss. I'll show up to buy it on Day 1 whenever it comes out; Fallen Order was bloody fantastic.
Also, this is one of those brands that EA could easily break the internet with. It was so well-received, all they need is to tie in a teeny bit of fan service and BAM! Tons of good will and hype in an instant. For example: what if they drop a teaser that ends with Cal and Merrin meeting up with Kyle Katarn, or seeing the Outrider fly by? Boom; fan service achieved, internet broken. I could see EA wanting to tease this out for a long time and just ride the positive vibes.... I'm sure it would be nice for them to not have to worry about constant hate from gamers all the time
I really preferred the simplicity of Battlefront I compared to II. Battlefront II really felt a lot heavier, clunkier and I was not able to transfer jy gameplay expertise well to the sequel so all of the hundreds of hours I put into team death match, the space battles and heroes vs villains in the first game felt like a total waste
