As promised, Rare has delivered a gameplay trailer for its upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean update in Sea of Thieves on June 22, and it's looking to be a good old time.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life will see you venturing on multiple adventures with fan-favourite Disney character Captain Jack Sparrow, in what looks to be the game's most substantial update yet. The trailer gives us a look at the new locations you'll be visiting, some new enemy types, sea battles, and a ferocious new boss to cap it all off.
Free Jack from his prison and witness the power of the world’s greatest Pirate Treasure, which he just so happens to have stolen, before joining him on an unforgettable quest to stop dark forces from dominating this pirate paradise. This lovingly crafted story will be available to play alone or with a crew, and will be a free update for all players with the arrival of Sea of Thieves: Season Three on June 22.
If you're eager to see more, Rare is hosting a Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life Showcase on June 20 at 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 7PM BST / 8PM CEST, so be sure to check that out. If you want to go in blind, you'll only have to wait a few more days until June 22.

I haven’t touched this game because I was the under the impression you needed a group. Is that still accurate?
@FatalBubbles No, you can play solo, have random people join you, join random people or play with friends that is the ideal choice. One, two, three of four people and there are three kinds of ships.
@BlueOcean @FatalBubbles Maybe there should be a Pure Xbox crew out in them seas! 👀
@Flurbdurb Yep why not 😁.
@FatalBubbles I play mostly solo and it's enjoyable. Makes things quicker and more efficient with a dedicated group.
@Halucigens Is there a story to play through or do you just random raids and such?
@FatalBubbles there is a lot. You can fish for a guild. You can do bounties for a guild but everyone sees your location on their map. Then there are skeleton captain skulls, chest quests and like fetch quests. All the guilds level up for equipment and cosmetics. There is also tall tales which would be more story related and huge riddles. There is also forts to raid. The game world is absolutely beautiful too.
@FatalBubbles It is definitely more fun if you are with a group of friends or if you can find a regular group from here to sail with.
