The latest entry in the Slime Rancher series was announced today as part of Xbox and Bethesda's E3 2021 Showcase, described as a "wiggly new adventure" heading to Xbox Series X and Series S on Xbox Game Pass in 2022.
Slime Rancher 2 features an open-world experience across a "gorgeous, rainbow-hued island that invites players to explore at their own pace," filled with mysterious, ancient technology, wiggly, new slimes, and slime science resources to collect.
"The technical enhancements of Slime Rancher 2 make great use of 9th generation hardware, pushing to the limit the rich shaders, dynamic lighting, and the spectacularly unpredictable physics interactions between slimes, all in glorious 4K.
But all these fancy new toys really just enhance the already delightfully frenzied and totally unique gameplay that made the original Slime Rancher so endearing in the first place."

I am sooo happy you have no idea. Bunny Slimes. Bat slimes. Also I think this is next gen only ?
This is awesome! My kids love Slime Rancher and I just showed them the trailer and they can’t wait.
For anyone with kids (5-12) this comes highly recommended. They get to round up and farm these slimes which you have to feed and they produce gems you collect, you then use these gems to upgrade your ranch. The game offers a good sense of adventure and accomplishment, some fun puzzles and it is super child friendly.
@Kienda Thanks for the recommendation! I’m always looking for games for my kids.
@John117 yeah, I think most gaming companies forget kids exist. Hehe.
I know the main market for gaming is largely adults, but most of us adults with kids also have to temper the horror/gore/swearing in games and play milder offerings, but we don’t want to play kids games so there is a balance finding the right fits. Thankfully there are great options for all ages/styles but most of the games revealed by Bethesda/Xbox I couldn’t play while the kids are awake, for example.
