As another batch of Xbox Game Pass titles descend upon us, so does another handful of games with touch controls.
If you didn't know, some games can be played without the need for a controller via Xbox Cloud Gaming. That means you can use your touchscreen for ease of access and have more means of playing on the go.
Here are the eight extra games enabled with touch controls from today:
- Dirt 5
- Double Kick Heroes
- Eastshade
- Empire of Sin
- Haven
- Octopath Traveler
- Torchlight III
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Dragon Quest XI has been fantastic with touch controls, so we're eager to see how Octopath Traveler turns out too. It's awesome to be able to take these on the go and just continue playing as and when we can. The more the merrier!
Will you be trying out any of the new touch control supported titles? Let us know in the comments below.

Yakuza has been for a week and it runs great. Happy to see more turn based games get it as well as Torchlight 3.
One thing that annoys me is that most of these touch controls games just have a controller layout superimposed over the game. Some of these games, like JRPGs and card games would be great with some sort of direct touch control. Like just touching the enemies to attack or dragging cards. These type of games work great on mobile. But maybe it would take direct work by the game devs.
@awp69 Yeah, button mappings can be done by Microsoft atop the game, but actually mapping coordinates and positions like a mouse input in-game would require the game itself to support it as part of the game. That would be a lot of work. Basically the same as adding mouse support (which they might as well also add if they're doing it.)
Just tried xCloud again today and it still runs very badly because apparently my internet just isn't good enough.
Also returning the Kishi I just bought. Got it almost half off, but it's junk, and I do not recommend getting one. You have to take your phone out of the case, or, remove the cushions inside the Kishi, and either way the fit is floppy because the Kishi doesn't really pull itself shut tight. The back of the "controller" is this weird floppy band rather than solid plastic, which makes the left controller grip feel especially loose and wobbly, like it's just resting on, rather than snugly connected to my phone. The right side is mostly okay because the USB-C connection keeps the grip in place well enough to feel acceptably firm. Additionally, it covers/overlaps the very edge of both the top and bottom my phone (s21) so it takes 5-6 swipes to successfully close or switch apps since a swipe can't actually be registered as starting from the very edge of the screen. Also, it doesn't work natively with dolphin, which is definitely a problem for my intentions with it. Of course I could map the touch inputs, but doesn't that kind of defeat the point of the lagless direct USB-C connection? Not worth it..
