If all these gaming events this weekend wasn't enough, CD Projekt Red has announced a joint event with Netflix known as WitcherCon for an "epic online celebration of the franchise" on July 9.
Details of the event are slim at the moment, but it's said to be an "event full of surprises and exclusive first looks". While it's been made clear that "no new Witcher game will be announced", it could be the perfect opportunity to showcase the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is expected to launch in the second half of this year.
You can probably expect to see some new news on The Witcher Netflix series, along with "never-before-seen reveals from across The Witcher franchise". There will also be some deep dives into the behind-the-scenes making of the games, if that tickles your fancy.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hit is six year anniversary last month, and in that time many fans have worked on PC to mod the game. It looks like that work could be transferring over into the next-gen release to help improve it, according to a recent report. As July marks the beginning of the second half of the year, we're hoping we'll see more of its enhancements in action.
Will you be checking out WitcherCon next month? Drop us a comment and let us know.
