We've got another free next-gen upgrade on the way! Third-person survival action shooter Remnant: From The Ashes is getting a "major upgrade patch" for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as soon as Thursday, May 13.
According to the team, this will allow the game to run at 4K resolution at 30fps, or 1080p resolution at 60fps on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, although no further details have been provided at this time.
"We're incredibly excited to announce that on Thursday, May 13, Remnant: From the Ashes will receive a free major upgrade patch that will add the option to run the game at 4K resolution at 30fps, or 1080p resolution at 60fps on both the PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X/S!"
Don't forget that Remnant: From The Ashes is playable with Xbox Game Pass on console, and as of Thursday, May 13 it'll also be available with Xbox Game Pass for PC, as it's joining the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 on that day.
"Now is the best time to jump into Remnant - a third-person survival action shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous creatures. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you'll set out alone or alongside up to two other players to face down hordes of deadly enemies and epic bosses, and try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and then retake what was lost."

Reallly cool! I’ll probably give it a shot again!
Nice, we like free upgrades.
Slightly strange that both the X and S share the same performance profiles, but probably just a quick and easy update by the devs. Can't criticise it too much.
I was surprised by how good this game is. If you have game pass, give this a try because the gameplay and atmosphere are fantastic.
I'm kind of floored that it is 1080p60. I'd espext 1440p at minimum. 1080p should be approaching 120fps territory for this game.
