After various teases over the past couple of weeks, Crytek has confirmed that Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are getting remasters this fall, and they'll be available separately or as part of a Crysis Remastered Trilogy bundle.
Each game will feature their respective single-player campaigns, and will be available for last-gen and next-gen consoles, with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions playing "even smoother" as expected.
No further details have been provided for now, but here's what Steffen Halbig, Project Lead had to say:
"We're excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today's platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure."

I really hope they make a physical version..
Never been into this series but might pick it up on a sale and give it a shot. Unlikely to buy at full price but I’m not the target audience.
This is great. I never had the chance to play the games back in the day, so this will be my incentive to finally try this franchise out.
Sigh ... new crysis game please. Don't tell me that you're done with the franchise after releasing the trilogy
@endlessleep These remaster trilogies are usually used to gauge excitement for a sequel / get the IP back into more people's hands, so odds are good.

I don’t understand why they released the first Crysis on its own recently. Why not just wait until the trilogy was ready..?
I hate how they tend to release games separately, never even hinting at a collection, only to announce a collection at a later date.

Trust me: I'm the target audience and I'll be waiting for a sale to get these. The "remaster "of the first game was...underwhelming. 😑

@Olliemar28, my guess is they were testing the waters on console before they committed the resources to doing the trilogy proper, which they were probably working on for a PC release. I'm just speculating, hell it could be 1 was ready to go and the other two, not so much and they needed something to bring cash in during the pandemic since EA is apparently not involved in the remasters.
I got the first remaster when it came out before, will it be any different. I found the game quite rubbish and unplayable even when they supposedly fixed the bugs
