Just in case you'd forgotten, the official demo for Resident Evil Village is now finally live on Xbox, and you've got from now until May 9/10 - depending on where you live - to give it a try ahead of the game's release next week.
The confusing downside with this demo is that you can only play it for 60 minutes before you get locked out anyway, so sadly you can't just keep going back and replaying it over the next week. But hey, it's better than nothing!
You can explore both the Village and the Castle areas in this demo (which you can get a look at in the video above), and you're looking at a download size of around 10GB on Xbox. Let's hope the full game lives up to the hype...
Have you tried the Resident Evil Village demo yet on Xbox? What did you think of it? Tell us below.

Played the village part took me about 45 minutes, so reminded of resident evil 4 which was great for me as really enjoyed that game.
Did not want to spoil the castle part.
Looking like a definite day one for me. I think it will get good reviews, not sure when the review embargo lifts?

Tends to either be a Tuesday or Thursday.

Thank you will look out for that.
Very sold game and looks good as well in the village part.
Already pre-orderd. At this moment, I am more concerned with pre-load date.
Will be spending the entire 60 minutes cowering in fear rather than making any progress. I've been playing the Resident Evil 2 Remake and I can't handle playing it for more than 10 mins. Game looks insanely good though otherwise.
I'm going to play the demo on the pc so I can disable the timer
I'm definitely taking the game for the premiere, regardless of the price. My console is waiting.
Played the demos and loved it!
Got my physical edition pre-ordered on Amazon and I have the full game pre-installed on my Series X.
I love that Xbox lets you install games you don’t own yet - even if you plan to buy physical. Just pop in disc and “boom” ready to play!
I wasn't too impressed with it and got bored before even completing the demo. Not too impressed with the visuals either.
I thought with ray tracing enabled the castle map looked brilliant especially the way the gold on the furniture shimmered, could figure out how to kill the moth woman though.
Looking forward for Digital Foundry to compare it to the other version of the game.
