The new Electric Volt Xbox Series X controller officially released around the world a couple of weeks ago, and as you'd expect, lots of fans have been getting their hands on one and sharing off their pictures on social media.
You normally get all the fancy PR shots with perfect lighting when new controllers come out, but how does it actually look in person, in bog standard photos? We've rounded up some images from across the web:
If you're liking the look of the Electric Volt, it's available in most Xbox markets worldwide from a variety of retailers (£54.99 / $64.99 USD), and don't forget that Microsoft also released the Daystrike Camo controller last week too!

I think we will get an elite controller with a share button, that is for sure.
@Dezzy70 The Share button is the worst thing ever. I have accidentally clicked that thing and uploaded more pictures since February than my entire career on Xbox since the OG Xbox. I hate that button so hard. It should have been an Achievement button to bring you straight to the achievements page. I never share pictures or take pictures or videos. I know i might be in the minority, but still.
I love my electric volt. Was using Series X black and got the shock blue, but my son took that over with his grimy hands. So this was a new one just for me.
As for Share buttons, I do sincerely wish we could redefine the button for our own choosing. I have also snapped so many screenshots of useless BS when my thumbs are flailing.
@OliverOwen
Done it a couple times but not that many
Have got used to it now though.
You must play games faster than me.
@orionreplay
Maybe an option to deactivate the button for those that don’t want use it, could come in a controller update.
I got the shock blue and really love the look of it.
Just received mine and love it!
It’s my favorite so far! Reminds me of Splatoon and the yellow joycons!
@OliverOwen You can set it to not upload pictures in the settings I think, but it still pops up with the little window and says something like "Failed to upload" or similar. Still mildly annoying, but at least won't fill storage with unwanted pics/videos.
Awesome looking controller, Might have to get this..
I love "fun" controller colors. The PS4 and Xbone both benefitted from a wide variety of choices in controller color.
Hopefully the PS5 follows, because, like the console itself, that white-and-black thing is kind of ugly.
@dmcc0 Agreed that it is annoying, because i never will ever need to take pictures or videos of game-play. It should be a changeable feature to do what we want it to do. For me, it would go to the achievement screen immediately.
@OliverOwen Quite surprised that you can't remap buttons to be honest, even as an accessiblilty feature. My son has Cerebral Palsy and has poor motor skills; he was constantly deleting photos/videos from his Switch before they added the ability to remap the buttons.
