Following Adam Badowski stepping down as Cyberpunk 2077's game director, who will now "focus on other leadership duties inside the company," CD Projekt Red has reportedly drafted in Gabriel Amatangelo.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, Amatangelo follows the departure of former quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who recently parted ways with the studio. Amatangelo's previous work consists of being the design director on Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC, and the lead designer on various expansions for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Going forward, Amatangelo will steer the ship for the game's future DLCs and expansions. There's still a long road ahead for the game, with the next-gen update said to be arriving in the second half of 2021. This is alongside the wave of free DLC expected to be introduced over the coming months.

It's been exactly one month since Cyberpunk 2077's last update. We still have no word on when any of the future content is releasing, but as the game is seemingly entering a more stable state - especially on last-gen systems - maybe we'll hear something new within the coming weeks.
