The upcoming release of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is one of the most highly-anticipated Xbox Game Studios titles in development, and lead actor Melina Juergens has shared a new video diary about the making of the game.
Specifically, this diary focuses on the combat training process, showing how Juergens made the decision to learn all her own stunts this time around, taking classes and even training with award-winning stunt coordinator C.C. Smiff, who has previously worked on the likes of Star Wars, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones.

There's not actually any in-game footage to take a look at here, although we do get a glimpse at the motion capture process for Hellblade 2, but it's nevertheless a fascinating insight into the creative process and we're now even more excited for the game's release, which hopefully isn't too far away. Could we see it in 2021? Let's hope so.
How excited are you for Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga? Let us know down in the comments section below.

I cant wait for the game
This is easily my most anticipated Series X game
Bring it on Xbox!
Loved Hellblade. The sequel is one of the games I bought Series X for.
Probably the game I am most looking forward to for this year, though if it comes out next year, and they announce that Gears 6 will also be out then, then Senua will have to settle for second place...
I'm so pumped for Hellblade 2..
She's so gummy lol..but also attractive...just stop showing so much gum
I quite enjoyed the video, @StylesT and was particularly struck by the blueness of her eyes! Surely contacts, yes? She is quite lovely to behold...
I'd be surprised if this didn't come out until 2022. It seems to be a game that got delayed because of the virus, especially since they just recently showed their new motion capture studio and now this video pops up. That all gives me the impression at best the motion capturing wasn't all completed before then. Obviously we really can't know if they managed to get any done before they had to stop.
On a more positive note, this is at worst my 2nd most anticipated Xbox exclusive for the Series X. The first one, while a bit frustrating in parts, was largely great. I wish I had experienced it with headphones like they recommended, but that's my own fault.
@KilloWertz I think this is one of the few games I completely played through with my headphone instead of using my tv's audio and it is indeed something else, wish other games would utilize audio in the same way.
I shall do what I always tend to do, @KilloWertz, which is to play through the previous game again, before starting on the second, just so as to remind myself of the story. I played it through my TV the first time, but will ensure to play it through my headset on the second run. It was a great game, and though as you said, it could be frustrating at times, it still warrants a second playthrough....
@Cherip-the-Ripper Yeah, the audio was supposed to be great and I felt like I was missing out a bit, but wasn't going to buy headphones for just one game. I expect the audio to be great on this too obviously.
@Fiendish-Beaver If I have time to do it, I would like to do that as well, especially if I ever end up getting the new Xbox wireless headset.
@Cherip-the-Ripper agreed! Hellblade was truly a landmark title with headphone audio. It was so intense, I could only play in small doses.
@KilloWertz that's odd, are you saying you don't have a pair of headphones at all? Or are you talking about a headset? Would surely invest in one as audio seems to be of big importance this gen.
As for the xbox wireless headset, I currently own it but I'm not much of a fan of them. I only use it when I play warzone, which I think is not a very great benchmark so they might actually work better with games than my current set of headphones (beyerdynamic custom one). Either way just wanted to share my opinion on em.
@Cherip-the-Ripper Either or. I used to have a pair of headphones years ago that I would use for gaming and movies, but they broke after years of use and I never bothered getting another pair. Strangely enough they were Beyerdynamic headphones as well and were great. Maybe someday again, but I've been content with the TV audio for now.
