EA made the surprise announcement last week that it was bringing back the EA Sports PGA Tour series as a "next-gen golf game" currently in development, and we've already been treated to a look at its cover!
As you can see above, it's focused around the Masters Tournament, which will be exclusive. This means EA's title will feature the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship, and The Open Championship.
"Golf fans can live out a legendary career as they authentically compete at THE PLAYERS Championship, FedExCup Playoffs, and strive to complete a career grand slam, while experiencing the unique atmosphere and venues of each tournament."
EA says it has "worked meticulously to capture the course and traditions of the Masters," and at launch, the game’s "exciting 'Road to the Masters' content will deliver players the prestige of competing in the Masters Tournament, plus additional experiences exclusive to Augusta National."
There's no estimated release date for the next EA Sports PGA Tour game as of yet, but it could arrive as soon as this year. We'll reportedly be getting an exact date "in the coming months, along with many more details."

Il pick up a golf game this year, will have to see which is better ea or 2k
@StylesT PGA Tour 2K21 plays a great game of golf but you can tell in its presentation that it doesn't have the biggest team or budget behind it. If 2K and HB go all out for 2K22 (which I assume will happen as they went and got the Tiger Woods licence) then it should be a cracking game.
Quite a fan of golf games and i Just picked up pga2k21 in the xbox sale(£16.49), really really enjoying it and well worth buying for that price, be interesting to see if EA can make a good golf game again, the Mcilroy was really lacklustre
2K21 Divot Derby changed it all for me. That took good a game and made it great. I am hoping for 2K22 in next gen. I would also dabble in EA's offering, especially if Gamepass'ed. A little competition between titles is only goodness for us.
@teknium_ That's when I got it, as well. I've hardly put it down since buying it.
