Borderlands 3 launched back in 2019, but was successful enough to warrant a second season pass, jam packed with brand new content. One of the new expansions is a Director's Cut, which is available now for Season Pass 2 owners, or separately for £11.99 / $14.99.

Bundled inside the Director's Cut is a brand new boss known as Hemovorous the Invincible, which sounds truly terrifying. Accompanying the large Varkid raid boss is a murder mystery questline, and the first of three planned Vault Cards. These special cards can unlock themed rewards, including unique legendary gear, new cosmetic items, and a brand new in-game resource known as Diamond Keys, the latter of which unlocks a whole room full of lovely, lovely loot.

The Director's Cut also comes bundled with an array of behind the scenes content, including concept art, deleted scenes, and some of the team’s favourite pre-release bugs. Something for all the hardcore Borderlands fans out there.

Joining the expansion is a set of Disciples of the Vault cosmetic packs, also available for Season Pass 2 owners for free, or individually for £7.99 / $9.99. Each of these allow you to dress as a range of crazy characters that fans will undoubtedly love.

Along with this, two new machines have been added to the game - Crazy Earl's Reroll and Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine - both of which have been made available for free. They'll offer some unique loot for players to grab, with Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine being in a random location each week. Sounds neat.

This is a lot of new content for fans to dive into, adding onto the expansions that dropped in Season Pass 1. The game looks absolutely stunning on Xbox Series X|S, and runs like a dream. So if you're contemplating a replay, there's probably never been a better time to jump back into the world of Borderlands 3.
