Worms Rumble took a stab at the battle royale genre on PlayStation last December, and will now be making the jump to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One at some point this year.
As spotted by Gematsu, a recent fiscal results document from Team 17 confirmed the existence of the game coming to Xbox consoles, but no specific release date was mentioned. But we’re assuming we’ll hear more shortly.
The game takes the traditional Worms gameplay and infuses it with 32 players in a battle royale setting. As you level up, you’ll unlock new customisation options, as you battle to be the last one standing or to be at the top of the leaderboard.
“Worms Rumble is Worms like you’ve never played it before, with intense, real-time, arena-based 32 player cross-platform combat. Get ready for Deathmatch and Last Worm Standing modes where you’re only ever a Holy Hand Grenade away from death!”
We’ve played the game on PlayStation (traitors, we know), and it’s actually a surprisingly fun romp. The genre fits very well into the Worms setting and leads to some addictive matches. It’s one to keep an eye out, for sure.

I think u meanDecember not Decemver
@TrueAssassin86x Fixed, thanks!
Wouldn't it be more accurate for the headline to say the game is coming to Xbox? Or Xbox One and Series consoles. Specifically calling out "Xbox Series X" in the title makes it seem like it's not coming to Series S, or One, or One S, or One X. Even within the article, it's clarified to "Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One" which isn't really even a clarification, since that seems to exclude One S and One X. I understand what it means, but not everyone might, especially when a very recent article actually is talking about specifically Xbox Series X (the Wreckfest upgrade article).
Sorry, I'll stop playing armchair editor now!
