Ever wondered what the "most expensive Xbox controller in the world" would look like? YouTuber Linus has the answer, as he's created an Xbox Series X controller made out of solid gold for his Linus Tech Tips YouTube channel.
The controller is made of one and a half kilograms of 18 karat gold, and cost $87,500 to make. You can check out exactly how it was made in the video above, which offers a fascinating look at the entire process.
As for how Linus Tech Tips can afford to do this? The channel has admitted that the solid gold Xbox Series X controller was made purely out of curiosity, and the goal is now to find a buyer or simply melt it down for re-use.
What do you make of this controller? Give us your thoughts down in the comments.

He used the honey browser app extension for great discounts.
He saved so much money.
He was relevant ten years ago. 👎
What a waste of resources....but....for science....the exercise is kinda cool, I'll give it that. That's got to be one slippery xbox controller though.
OTOH, since the whole thing is solid gold, stick drift should be pretty much impossible - there's no wearing away that connector!
@Jorb-Norb Much as I hate youtubers in general, I'm not comfortable with a world where people and their roles become irrelevant in a decade or less....nobody really should be.
This is pretty much what his show is these days, showing off absurdly expensive tech stuff just because he's a big youtuber.
Nice to know someone has 87,000 to spare ...
