We haven't really heard anything about FromSoftware's upcoming action RPG Elden Ring since its initial announcement all the way back at E3 2019, but it looks like we'll be getting some more news relatively soon.
This is according to reliable industry insider Jeff Grubb, who stated on the latest episode of the GamesBeat Decides podcast that March is the expectation for more information, although it could yet slip into April or later.
"A combination of sources gave me confidence that Elden Ring [news] would be by the end of March. Nothing has changed there, but it was also never cemented... I know enough to be confident, but if it were to slip into April I would apologise... but I will continue to say you're not going to have to wait long."
If you're unaware, Elden Ring is a fantasy adventure set in a world created by Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice director Hidetaka Miyazaki, as well as famous fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin.
All we've seen of it so far is an announcement trailer, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer did reveal last year that he's played Elden Ring, calling it "clearly the most ambitious game" that director that Hidetaka Miyazaki has ever put together.

I am not that hyped about this game, since I'm not huge on Dark Souls stuff, but would be hilarious if they don't just reveal this one, but turns out to be 100% Microsoft funded, meaning, Xbox/PC exclusive.
@Tharsman I am also never into the whole Soulsborn thing or whatever that it is called at this point. To me the games always looked like DLCs of each other. But the involvement of Goerge R.R. Martin makes all of this very very interesting for me in terms of lore and story.

While I am platform agnostic, I think Xbox is due for a FromSoftware Souls-like exclusive for a change.
First two Dark Souls games passed me by, but really liked DS3, so definitely interested in hearing mire in this.
It is a shame Bloodborne was PS exclusive as if it was multi plat a lot of Xbox owners would have absolutely loved it, especially as they don't really have anything like it that I can see. As one of my favourite games ever I would love more people to have played it.
I really hope this isn't exclusive to any platform as FromSoftware are one of those studios that everyone should get to experience.
